Merrillville & Hammond Police Investigating Armed Robberies

The Merrillville Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect that robbed Metro PCS cell phone store on 1/31/20 around 1pm. The store was robbed by gunpoint for cash and approximately 20 iPhones, Commander Jeff Rice of The Merrillville Police told Region News.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20’s and fled the scene in a red Impala. The Hammond Police Department had a similar robbery on 1/24/20 at their Boost Mobile Store. The suspect and vehicle match the same description, Rice stated.
