Overnight Fire Destroys Building
Shortly before midnight Tuesday, Hobart Fire Department responded to a fire at a Furniture and Matress Outlet, 1111 W. Ridge.
First arriving personnel found fire through the roof. Adjacent businesses suffered some smoke and water damage, Hobart Fire said. No injuries were reported. This fire is under investigation.
Lake Station, New Chicago, Portage, Gary, Merrillville & Union Township Fire Departments assisted.
