Porter County Police Nab Wanted Suspect

Around 6:30 PM, Thursday, Porter County Sheriff Officers received a License Plate Reader (LPR) hit for a wanted individual out of Laporte County driving a Buick Rendezvous, according to reports.

Officers spotted the vehicle near US 12 & SR 149 and begin to follow it while back up units were enroute to assist. While officers were following the suspects they made a sudden turn and pulled over to the side of Navaho Trail. The officer activated his lights and the suspect fled from the stop. The suspect continued till the end of the road where he abruptly pulled into a driveway. The passenger bailed out of the vehicle and ran into the woods. The driver was immediately placed under arrest.

Officers from multiple agencies canvassed the area for the passenger in a coordinated manhunt. He was later found attempting to enter a garage in the 1200 block of Chippewa Trail where he was placed under arrest.

The driver was identified as Otha Garrett, 41, of Michigan City was charged with Resisting With a Vehicle – Level 6 Felony. (Left Image)

The passenger was identified as Robert Rosenbourgh, 36, of Michigan City was charged with Resisting – A Misdemeanor, Laporte County Warrants for Dealing Narcotics and Dealing Meth – Level 4 Felonies. (Right Image)
