Pursuit of Motorcycle Ends With Driver Stuck In Field
On Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at approximately 3:54 PM , Cedar Lake Police Officer Alexis Dills observed an Enduro motorcycle near Hilltop and N Lake Shore Drive, according to Deputy Chief Carl Brittingham. The motorcycle did not have a current license plate on it. Officer Dills attempted to make a traffic stop and the driver, Marc Odea 33 years old of Cedar Lake, refused to stop and began to flee from Officer Dills at a high rate of speed.
Officer Dills and Officer Allen Sulski pursued Marc Odea north on Fairbanks St and eventually took Marc Odea into custody in the 12500 blk of Burr St. after Marc Odea drove off into a field and became stuck, Marc Odea then attempted to hide from Officers. Marc Odea was transported and lodged in the Lake County Jail.
Marc Odea is being charged with resisting law enforcement a Level 6 Felony and several other infractions and license violations, Brittingham stated. Marc Odea is also not licensed currently in any state to operate a vehicle.
