Silver Alert Issued For Missing 12 Year Old In Porter County

The Porter County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the disappearance of Mercadez Lashay Casanova, a 12 year old black Hispanic female, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 145 pounds, black hair with brown eyes, last seen wearing a thigh length green Columbia coat, dark green fuzzy sweater and blue jean pants.
Mercadez is missing from Valparaiso, Indiana which is 150 miles northwest of Indianapolis and was last seen on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 8:00 pm. She is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
