Kruiz Leamon Cooper-Pullen, 19, of Gary, allegedly shot a man twice following an argument at a residence Thursday evening.

Gary Police responded at approximately 8:40 p.m. Aug. 27 to the 3600 block of Lincoln Street after receiving a report of a shooting.

According to court documents, a woman told police she, Cooper-Pullen and the man became involved in an argument inside the residence over Cooper-Pullen allegedly failing to clean up his trash.

The woman alleged Cooper-Pullen attempted to fight with her and the man before walking outside through the back kitchen door. Cooper-Pullen allegedly pulled out a handgun, opened the kitchen door from the back porch and fired approximately three shots into the residence.

The man was struck twice in the left leg.

While receiving treatment at a local hospital, the man told police Cooper-Pullen was his tenant and that the argument began because he was attempting to make Cooper-Pullen leave the residence. The man alleged Cooper-Pullen shot him from the back porch while he was standing inside the kitchen.

Cooper-Pullen allegedly fled the residence in a vehicle following the shooting.

The man suffered two gunshot wounds to his left thigh. He was listed in stable condition and later released from the hospital after receiving treatment.
