Crash Team Working A Vehicle Vs Pedestrian Incident In Cedar Lake

On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at approximately 3:14 PM, Cedar Lake Police and Cedar Lake Fire Departments were dispatched to the area of 133rd Avenue and Parrish Avenue for a single vehicle accident involving a pedestrian, according to Police Chief Bill Fisher.

Upon arrival, Police and Fire personnel found a 30-year-old male in the middle of the roadway of Parrish Avenue, just south of Jane Ball Elementary. The male had sustained what appeared to be serious life-threatening injuries and was unresponsive. Cedar Lake Fire assisted with the injured male subject while Police began investigating the scene.

Officers on scene called for the South County Reconstruction Team for the investigation. Members of the South County Reconstruction Team arrived and took lead in the investigation of the crash scene. The driver, a 20-year-old female, remained on scene and was cooperating with the Investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
