Downtown Highland Shooting Leaves One Shot Sunday
One person was shot according to witnesses Sunday morning around 2:15AM near Growler’s Bar at 2816 Highway Ave in Highland.
Witnesses tell RNS shots rang out near the side of the building and they saw a man stagger then fall on someone sitting on a bench on Highway Ave. The injured bloody man then walked into Growler’s slamming the door and falling on the bar floor. Paramedics were dispatched at 2:25AM for a gun shot victim at this location. Video sent to RNS from inside the bar showed a bloody aftermath as people tried to walk around the area where the victim came to rest in the bar.
Highland Police were not immediately available for comment Sunday morning. Check back later this morning for an update to this incident as their investigation continues.
