Hammond Man Shot In Domestic Dispute Friday Afternoon
On March 27th, at approximately 1:50 PM, the Hammond Police Department responded to a home in the 1500 block of Beverly Street in reference to a subject who was shot, Lt. Steve Kellogg released to RNS.
Officers arrived and learned that a domestic related dispute took place inside of the home and a 56-year-old male was shot by a 20-year-old male who is known to him, Kellogg said. The suspect has been identified and is not yet in custody. The victim was transported to an area hospital and his condition is unknown at this time.
The investigation is on-going at this time. Kellogg said more information regarding this incident will be released as it becomes available.
