Scattered Storms Tonight That Could Produce Hail (Round 1)

Scattered storms will move into the area tonight some which could be severe criteria. NWS Chicago expects these storms to produce hail with the larger hail South of I-80. Storms timing tonight will be between 12-7am. Storms will clear out tomorrow morning but winds will be a factor all weekend with gusts of 45+mph expected.

A greater severe threat is expected Saturday evening with all modes of severe weather possible. Currently the Storm Prediction Center has a Moderate Risk Zone over West Central IL where strong tornadoes & hail are possible from Noon-6pm in that area.

The threat moves Northeast to NW Indiana between 6pm-12am where the threat diminishes and lands the Region in the Enhanced Risk Zone. Tornadoes & Hail are still possible across the Region in these storms. All warnings should be taking serious. Have a plan ready with family to seek shelter if warnings do occur.
