Man Shot Multiple Times Airlifted
Gary Police and Fire were dispatched to the 1900 block of Maine St Monday evening shortly after 5pm for a gun shot victim. On arrival police found a male victim in his 40’s shot multiple times outside. This is located in the Gary Housing Authority, Dorie Miller Center. The victim was transported to Methodist Northlake and later airlifted to a Chicago Trauma Center sources close to the investigation stated. The victim was shot in the head, torso, and suffered a graze wound to the stomach. A weapon was recovered near the scene according to information derived from the radio.
