Marlon Bradley, 46, of East Chicago, is facing a felony burglary charge after East Chicago Police alleged blood evidence, surveillance footage, and a fresh arm injury linked him to a break-in at a cell phone store in the city.

According to court documents, officers responded to the Metro By T-Mobile store in the 600 block of West Chicago Avenue on May 27, 2026, after employees discovered a shattered front display window. Investigators reported finding what appeared to be blood on the window frame, inside the business, and on the surrounding area. A metal object believed to have been used to break the window was also recovered from inside the store.

Store employees reported approximately $6.50 in quarters, three Apple Watch bands valued at about $60, and a Vibe Max speaker valued at approximately $55 were missing following the break-in.

According to court documents, surveillance footage showed a man approaching the store during the early morning hours, tampering with the window before throwing an object through the glass and climbing inside. Investigators alleged the man later exited carrying a white box or bag. Detectives noted the suspect appeared to have injured his right arm while entering or exiting the business.

While processing the scene, investigators reported finding apparent blood on the windowsill, concrete outside the store, inside the business, on cabinets, and near the cash registers.

According to court documents, police later learned a man matching the suspect’s description had been transported to a local hospital with injuries to his right arm. Detectives identified the man as Marlon Bradley and alleged he was wearing clothing consistent with that seen in the surveillance footage, including a navy blue hat, white shoes, and black socks. Investigators further noted Bradley had a fresh laceration on the same arm where the suspect appeared to have been injured during the burglary.

Court documents state detectives later executed a search warrant at a residence in the 4900 block of Northcote Avenue, where they located what appeared to be blood droplets leading to the residence and additional suspected blood inside a bathroom. Investigators also reported Bradley’s brother told police he had cleaned up blood belonging to Bradley after Bradley returned home with an injury to his right arm during the morning hours following the burglary.

Lodged in the Lake County Jail.
