  1. Stuff like this wouldn’t happen if y’all would just be smart and call off cop chases and just follow few cars behind them safely without lights instead of causing a big scene and injuring other innocent people

    1. Police react and act with what they have and what is available. Monday morning quarter backing is easy. Let’s give thanks the criminal was apprehended. Let’s congratulate the officers. Let’s not arm chair quarter back what should have happened.

    2. 1) stuff like this wouldn’t happen if their parents taught them the dangers of carjacking. 2) Cops have lots of calls and cannot follow for hours until the carjacker runs out of gas. 3) The carjackers caused the big scene NOT the police. Check the photos !!!!!

  2. What’s going on in Calumet City…… the last time I was in Illinois I was damn near ran off the road su to a car chase on 147th and Torrence….. it’s sad that this is common out there!

  3. About Monday morning quarterbacking, by now, there’s no police department in Cook County that’s not aware that no justice will come out of this. I’d bet the farm, two cows and the tractor, that all of the juveniles involved were released to their guardians. So the question remains, when does law enforcement have a duty to discontinue a car pursuit because the risks and dangers of the pursuit far outweigh the offense committed. The offense committed is “believed to be a vehicular carjacking”. No injuries to the victim are reported. Driving on sidewalks and speeds of 80 miles per hour through intersections against red lights, any reasonable police officer should realize the risk is too high. Too many innocent pedestrians, motorists, and police officers have sustained great bodily harm, or death, due to vehicle pursuits such as this one. Additionally, the millions of dollars it costs municipalities in law suits when the aforementioned results in injuries and or deaths. Given what is known/reported, this pursuit should have been terminated early on. It wouldn’t surprise me if the outcome of all this was nothing more than traffic tickets to the driver of the fleeing vehicle, since the offense may not have been an actual carjacking.

  4. This A$$hat should spend the rest of his life in a cage! He risked COUNTLESS lives! Crap like this is what happens when the liberals want to be soft on crime! Wake up people!
