Gary Police Investigating Homicide
On Thursday, July 13, 2022 at approximately 1:07 PM Gary Police Officers responded to the area of 21st Avenue and Grant street for reports of a male gunshot victim, according to Lt. Dawn Westerfield.
Upon arrival officers located a 36-year-old male with apparent gunshot wounds inside of a building. The male was transported to the hospital by Gary medics for treatment. He was later declared deceased as a result of his wounds.
