Man Stabbed In Lansing Found At Hammond Speedway

Shortly before 5pm Hammond Police & Fire were dispatched to the 7400 block of Calumet between Pines Lounge and Speedway on the corner of 174th. On arrival police found a man with a wound to his head which prompted medics to immediately transport him to an Illinois trauma center.

During the course of the investigation Hammond Police learned this was a domestic related incident that occurred in Lansing, IL, Lt. Steve Kellogg of The Hammond Police told RNS. The victim suffered a stab wound not a gun shot, Kellogg said. Lansing Police went to a residential home where the crime was believed to have occurred shortly after 6pm where an investigation is ongoing. Two people were seen taken into custody at this location.

Lansing Police were not immediately available for comment. We will continue to provide updates as they are received.
