Multiple Rounds Of Storms Expected Sunday
Multiple hours of thunderstorms are expected including at least scattered severe storms in the region on Father’s Day, according to The National Weather Service – Chicago Office.
For Sunday afternoon, the thunderstorms are favored especially along and north of I-80 in IL, and then this evening more so area-wide, although the severe threat may start shifting more south of I-80 after dark. Timing can not be specific on this event but here is a estimated time frame for the area below.
“We know many of you are hoping to be outside today, but keep a vigilant eye on the forecast and weather. Ensure you have means to receive a warning if one is issued, and know where is the quickest nearby location to take shelter,” NWS stated Sunday morning.
