SWAT Called Out To Crete
At approximately 2:00 am this morning The Crete Police Department was dispatched to the 3700 Blk. of State St. on a call of an aggravated assault with the offender barricading them self inside a residence, according to Chief Scott Pieritz. Crete Police and area police departments responded to the scene immediately. Due to the volatile situation, The Will County SWAT Team was called out for assistance, Pieritz stated. The offender was taken into custody without incident, early Monday morning. The investigation is ongoing at this time. This was an isolated incident and there was no danger to the general public.
