Woman Shot At Home In An Apparent Drive-By In Hammond
Hammond Police responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the area of 175th & White Oak late Friday night around 11:45pm. While officers were enroute to the area of shots heard by callers, police and fire were dispatched to the 7500 block of Walnut for a 46-year-old woman with a gun shot wound to the foot in her home. She was transported to a local hospital by The Hammond Fire Department. Initial details are suggesting this was a drive-by of the victims home and she was hit while inside her home.
