Lake Station Police Take Wanted Man Into Custody

On Thursday, 3/04/2021 at approximately 12:30 AM members of Lake Station Police Department’s “D Crew” and Police Chief Richardson took Jim Ferguson a 23 year old male of Lowell, IN into custody in the 4400 block of 25th Ave in Lake Station, according to Lake Station Officials. Ferguson was wanted for numerous felonies including failure to return to lawful detention.

While taking Ferguson into custody officers located over 10 grams of methamphetamine in his possession. When Ferguson arrived at Lake County Jail more methamphetamine was located on him.

Formal charges will be presented to the Lake County Prosecutors office for dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, Police said Thursday morning.

Back on January 7, 2021 Hobart Officers pursued Ferguson ending with a dog bite and numerous charges. On January 8, Mr. Ferguson was charged through the Lake Prosecutor’s Office with 1 Count of Level 5 Felon in Possession of a Firearm, 2 Counts of Level 6 Resisting Law Enforcement. Ferguson was released and then failed to return to lawful detainment with the courts issuing warrants last month.
