Lansing Man Dies After Munster Single Vehicle Crash

On Monday, December 7th, around 8:40 PM a single vehicle accident occurred on the 400 block of Ridge Road in Munster in front of KFC.

The vehicle went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. At this time it is believed the driver may have suffered from a medical emergency. The driver was trapped in the car and had to be extricated by the Munster Fire Department. He was transported to Munster Community Hospital where he was later transferred to University of Chicago for further treatment.

The driver unfortunately passed Tuesday at 1:30 AM, according to The Cook County Medical Examiners Office. The driver has now been identified as Thomas Brown, 88, of Lansing.
