Cedar Lake Male Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography After Tip
On Monday, August 15, 2022, members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, which include members from Indiana State Police and Winfield Police served a search warrant in the 8100 block of Havenwood Pass in Cedar Lake, according to a Winfield Police statement.
The warrant was a result of an extensive investigation that began when a tip was received from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding illegal activities being conducted on a Google Gmail account. The Gmail account was linked to a 21-year-old Cedar Lake male now identified as Seth Zaluckyj.
According to court records, Zaluckyj allegedly downloaded a video which featured what appeared to be an 8-year-old child having intercourse with an adult male. Detectives described the girls facial expressions as ”uncomfortable.” Zaluckyj also took screenshots of said video and later deleted them but detectives were also able to retrieve those.
Zaluckyj was taken into custody and transported to the Lake County Jail with the following charges pending:

Possession Of Child Pornography Level 6 Felony
