East Chicago Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire around 10:30 PM Friday night at St. Stanislaus Church on the corner of W. 150th Street & Indianapolis Blvd.
On arrival crews were met with fire through the roof of what is believed to be the Rectory and an unused portion of the building in recent years. There were no reported injuries.
Gary Fire Department provided mutual aid on scene for a short period then handled station coverage for the city. Crews were on scene till around 4:30 AM.
East Chicago Fire Department officials were not immediately available for comment.
